XBLA Perfect Dark - Xbox PD - N64 Perfect Dark

You can now play Perfect Dark online via Xbox Live Arcade. It's going to cost you 800 Microsoft Points.

A few things to keep in mind about Perfect Dark XBLA edition. It does take a while in matchmaking to find games. That's just a reality. You may want to hook up with friends or convince them to buy PD so that you can get more games online. The selection or game options via the XBLA Arcade matchmaking is the biggest dissapointment to PD fans. You don't get the customization or the ability to change things up. What do you expect for such a cheap price? We can only hope that Microsoft comes up with a Perfect Dark 2 game which has the original gameplay and with a true matchmaking interface. So it's true that PD XBLA has some shortcomings. The good thing is that the graphics are amazing and the framerate holds up unlike the original Nintendo 64 game. The rumours have started... I sense a disturbance in the force. I've felt it now for a couple weeks. What is the next big project for Rare? Yes, it has to be Perfect Dark for the XBLA or Xbox Live Arcade for those with lesser knowledge. How good is this going to be?

Remember those XBLA GoldenEye videos and images? I do. The fact is PD on XBLA is going to rock. The graphics will no doubt be pumped up to higher resolution. Add to this online multiplayer? It's too good to be true. Remember Xbox and Perfect Dark Zero? Think of that as being a bad experiement. They needed to be true to the original that we all played. XBLA version of Perfect Dark is exactly what the gamer out there remembers and wants.

Imagine what XBLA PD N64 will be. I see single screen multiplayer. Think about the original. It was made for single screen, but that just wasn't possible at the time. Perfect Dark in a single screen situation, online, with Xbox Live leaderboards, improved graphics and without the slowdown is more than I could have ever hoped for.

I need to get my articles up now. I have some strong skills when it comes to Perfect Dark without bragging. I spent a lot of time playing. I am so excited about this news!

Now that PD on XBLA is here it's been interesting following the Perfect Dark fanbase. There are many people who came and went. Those die hards still exist. It's for good reason. Playing PD online is a serious blast! The only real issues are in the matchmaking interface but what's happened is that a lot of players arrange weekly or monthly get togethers. This way people can use their cool custom weapon setting and game settings. People loved the customization in Perfect Dark and the only real way to experience that on XBLA is to have friends vs. friends games. Good luck and god speed.
